From the 2nd November 2021, South Australia has opened up for Engineers living offshore. This is to manage South Australia’s COVID recovery Response. Applicants who are working in these 24 Engineering Occupations will be permitted to lodge an ROI (Registration of Interest) to the state.
South Australia has opened up for Engineers living offshore to apply and immigrate to Australia permanently. We suspect other states will soon follow suit.
In order to qualify offshore engineers must meet the minimum requirements listed below:
- You must have at least eight years of work experience in the nominated or closely related occupation
- You must demonstrate a Superior English level unless you hold an eligible passport from a country where the primary language is English (the United Kingdom, the United States of America, New Zealand, Ireland, and Canada)
- You must score at least 85 points for the Skilled Work Regional visa (subclass 491) in the Department of Home Affairs points test.
